About the retreat

During His time as a man walking among us, Jesus prioritized times of solitude and quietness. The Scriptures often record times when Jesus withdrew from the crowds to a quiet place of prayer and fellowship with the Father.

American Family Association encourages you to follow the pattern of Jesus and retreat to the peaceful location of Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Alabama. Tim Wildmon invites you to experience the beauty and peaceful setting of this Southern resort style location. Please join us to hear wonderful messages from our speakers, eat delicious food, and fellowship with AFA staff and AFA supporters from around the country. This event is scheduled for April 3 - 6, 2024.

Accommodations

The Inn at Pursell Farms

At Pursell Farms, you will experience "unrivaled Southern hospitality" and "relaxed luxury." Pursell Farms was created with an eye to every detail, and this is most evident in its charming accommodations. A stay at the three-story inn, containing 40 beautifully designed guest rooms, provides panoramic views of the scenic foothills. There is also a sparkling outdoor pool, fitness facility, and two new dining experiences where you can enjoy locally sourced farm and garden cuisine in a casually-elegant environment and Scottish and American menu favorites in a historic Scottish setting.
